As Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) are adopted and implemented, enterprises are presented with new challenges. These challenges are related to processes, operational support, and service analysis and design.
For example, organizations must examine requirements not from a project perspective (as we are used to), but from an enterprise asset view. In order to achieve agility, the platform needs to be mature and be trusted to perform. Time spent on operational support issues can hinder the contract definition and overall enterprise services adoption.
Through our experience in many SOA implementations we have identified a series of best practices that may be valuable to your business. These practical solutions can rapidly enable alignment between business and IT throughout your organization.
