I. Basic Purpose of Position
This position leads a team of staff to provide SOA infrastructure architecture expertise, application infrastructure architecture expertise, OIM wide non functional specifications and standards as well as application infrastructure architecture standards for all global OIM applications.
This position is also responsible for general infrastructure design for performance, maintainability, recovery and overall operation of global applications.
This position will provide guidance in such areas to all global applications covering a multitude of architectures including SOA.
This position is focused on defining the architectures that provide for the effective and efficient linkage between applications systems and supporting infrastructure.
II. Specific Functions
1. Provide technology assistance and guidance to global application development teams during new development and significant enhancement efforts.
2. Define global application architecture standards, application tool standards as well as application enabling standards in collaboration with key application development team and key member firms. 3. Management of the UDDI register / repository artifacts
4. Provide SOA expertise to development teams, as well as participate in the architecture review process for non functional specifications, non functional services and application infrastructure architecture standards.
5. Deloitte Technology Services (DTS) standards, policies and best practices. This should include influencing the application teams to establish test and QA environments that are adequate for performance simulations.
7. Responsible for defining the architectures that provide for effective and efficient linkage between applications systems and supporting infrastructure.
8. Develop and maintain a comprehensive global technology roadmap for application standards and application enabling technologies.
IV. Knowledge, Abilities and Skill Expectations
Relevant degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, with advanced degree in technical or business management an advantage
· Proven record in integrated approach to large applications and technology platforms design, architecture and implementation.
· Solid knowledge in application development life cycle, including requirements definition, system design and testing / QA and transition to production.
· Knowledge of major technologies, emerging technology solutions and industry trends with focus on applications and application enabling technologies
Sound understanding of standard applications and platforms esp. Microsoft in enterprise applications development and SAP.
· Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior management, business teams and IT teams is a requirement.
· Solid understanding of SOA (IBM preferred) technologies, concepts, architecture and development.
· Senior application and technology architecture experience, preferably with strong SOA background
